Softball Falls to UTSA in Extra Innings

SAN ANTONIO, Texas., May 4, 2024 –The University of South Florida softball team (33-21, 12-14 AAC) fell to the University of Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners (15-40, 5-21 AAC) in extra innings on Saturday afternoon. The Bulls lost with a final score of 8-5.

In the opening frame, (Tampa) hit her fifth triple of the season. A groundout from (Plainfield, Ill.) gave the Bulls the early 1-0 lead.

UTSA didn't earn their first hit until the fourth inning. They took to 2-1 lead in the fourth. The Roadrunners extended their lead to 5-1 in the fifth inning.
