The Bruins and Panthers meet again.
Boston sent the TD Garden into a frenzy on Saturday night by defeating the Maple Leafs 2-1 in overtime in Game 7. By sending Toronto home packing in wild fashion in front of the Bruins faithful, Boston punched itself a ticket to the second round against a team its familiar with.
Florida famously upset the Bruins in the first round last year, kicking Boston out of the playoffs in Game 7 at the Garden. The Bruins blew a 3-1 series lead after winning the President’s Trophy in the regular season with a NHL-record 135 points and 65 wins.
